Report by Yakubu Mubarak (Regional Umumi).
The Majlis Ansarullah in the Brong Ahafo Region held its 19th Annual Regional Ijtema’a (rally) on 13th July 2025, on the theme “Purification of the Soul – A Fundamental Need of a Nasir” with a call on members to strive to establish a healthy relationship with God. The call was made by Alhaji Ali Muhammad Katu, Sadr Majlis Ansarullah-Ghana, who chaired the programme. He added that having a close relationship with your Maker is an assured way for a Muslim to purify the soul.
The rally featured insightful presentations by notable speakers, including Dr. Abdull Wadood Moomen of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani; Muallim Idrees Ahmed, a retired Missionary from the Techimantia Circuit; and Reyadudeen Yussif, Techiman Zonal President. Discussions focused on themes such as self-reformation as an integral need for every Nasir and the profound significance of the belief that “Is not Allah sufficient for His servant.” The speakers collectively encouraged members to view Almighty Allah as their sole source of help and guidance.
Another notable speech was delivered by Dr. Baasit Yidaana on mental health (stress management), in which he highlighted the necessity of stress management and regular medical check-ups, particularly monitoring blood pressure, to help members maintain awareness of their health and effectively manage their daily activities.
The Regional rally was preceded by some circuit rallies, particularly Techiman, Techimantia, Bamboi, Manso, Nkoranza, Nsuatre, and Sunyani Circuits, which established the momentum for the regional Ijtema’a at Techiman.
The rally drew an attendance of 253 members and was honored by the presence of Honorable Kwaku Adjei Mensah, Techiman Municipal Chief Executive, who praised the Ahmaddiya Jamaat for its contributions to community development through building schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure. He encouraged the mission to continue expanding its impactful work.
