The Abura Zonal branch of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana held its 2nd Annual Zonal Ijtemaa on 20th June 2025 at the Abura Central Mosque under the theme “Raising Responsible Children Upon the Foundations of Islam: A Nasir’s Duty”.
In his welcome address, the Zonal Nazim, Dr. Musah Dankwah emphasized the importance of abiding by the organization’s rules. He also reminded attendees of their promise to be helpers of Allah.
Mr. Ishaque Abbew delivered a keynote address titled “Raising Responsible Children Upon the Foundations of Islam: A Nasir’s Duty,” where he emphasized the critical role of parental guidance in shaping children’s values and beliefs. Mr. Abbew highlighted the importance of instilling faith in Allah as a fundamental element of raising children, underscoring several key areas. These include teaching children social responsibility and encouraging them to contribute positively to society. He also stressed that providing for children encompasses not only material needs but also emotional and spiritual support. Furthermore, he advocated leadership training to develop children into capable leaders within their communities and religious spheres. Mr. Abbew also underscored the pivotal role of parents, particularly fathers, in nurturing their children’s spiritual, moral, and social development. His insights serve as a reminder of the profound impact that parental influence has on the next generation.
The Regional Nazim, Mobarak Mohammed Yacub, who chaired the programme, advised attendees to dress appropriately for future events. He encouraged them to feel proud to be part of the religious programme and to guide their children as they grow.
The Ijtemaa was attended by sixty-eight (68) Ansarullah members from the Abura Zone.
