CENTRAL REGION MAJLIS ANSARULLAH HOLDS 2024 ANNUAL REGIONAL IJTEMA’A AT MANKESSIM

The Central Regional branch of the Majlis Ansarullah, Ghana, held its 2024 annual rally on 31st August 2024 at the Mankessim Central Mosque with over 300 participants from the eleven (11) Zones in the region participating.

 

The Ijtema’a chaired by Alhaj Yusuf Wubey, Auditor of Majlis Ansarullah, Ghana, who represented the Sadr Sahib, was on the theme Striving Towards Moral Regeneration in Today’s Ghana-The Role of Majlis Ansarullah”.

Participants from the 11 Zones engaged in sporting and academic competitions including “Fill in the Basket with balls”, “Fill the gallon with water”, “Hit the target”, “Qur’an Recitation” and “Quiz”. Certificates were presented to those who excelled in the various competitions.

 

The participants also benefited from a number of discourses in the form of speeches delivered by prominent personalities including a speech by Maulvi Sharif Bin Ja’far Donkoh, a Lecturer at Jamia International, Mankessim, who was the guest speaker, spoke on the theme “Striving Towards Moral Regeneration in Today’s Ghana-The Role of Majlis Ansarullah”.

 

In his speech, Maulvi Donkor emphasized the importance of early moral training for individuals, likening it to nurturing a young tree. He highlighted the challenges of guiding older members of Ansarullah, who may resist change due to established habits. To achieve moral regeneration in society, he advocates for approaching individuals with love and kindness to foster openness, maintaining steadfastness and perseverance through regular communication and support to encourage positive behavior, and seeking divine assistance through prayer to emphasize the need for personal righteousness. Maulvi Sharif Bin Ja’far Donkoh stressed that members of Ansarullah, as mature individuals, bear the responsibility for moral upliftment, which will ultimately benefit the wider community.
