The Majlis Ansarullah of the Upper East Region held its annual Ijtemaa in Walewale on 31st August 2024, under the theme “Ansarullah: Helpers of Allah Towards Jamaat Activities” with a call on members to remain steadfast in their commitment to Allah’s commands.
The call was made by the Acting Zonal Missionary of Walewale, Muallim Ibrahim Awuni, who spoke on the theme and further emphasized that, like prayer, financial sacrifices are essential to a believer’s spiritual life, and all members must dedicate themselves to this cause.
The Ijtemaa, which was attended by 123 members from the Bolga, Walewale and Nalerigu Zones was graced by the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Alhaji Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, himself a member of the Majlis Ansarullah as the Special Guest. In his speech, the Regional Minister commended the organizers and participants for hosting a well-structured Ijtemaa. He highlighted the successes and benefits of Islam Ahmadiyyat and outlined various measures the government has implemented to support credible religious institutions, like the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission. As a member of the Ahmadiyya community, he pledged to uphold the Ahmadiyya Mission’s principles, a commitment he said is rooted in the legacy of his family.
A representative of the Walewale Chief Imam, Mr. Yakubu Fuseini delivered a fraternal message praising the Ahmadiyya Mission and its members for their significant accomplishments in education, health, and spiritual development. He encouraged Ahmadis not to focus on the shortcomings of Orthodox Muslims, but to reach out to them, to adopt the positive practices of the Ahmadiyya community for their mutual benefit.
In his remarks, Mr. Jaladeen Abdulai Esq., Naib Sadr for the Northern Sector, who represented the Sadr, Majlis Ansarullah, Ghana, as chairman, urged participants and all Ahmadis to view the Jamaat rallies as a divine call from Allah. He emphasized that seeking Allah’s pleasure serves as a fundamental test of one’s acceptance of His commands.
Other dignitaries who attended the regional rally were the Upper East Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Mr. Bashirudeen Yakubu Kubugu Hillia, and Alhaji Karim Jacob Jabon Duut Lambon, the Naib Secretary for Takrik and Waqfe-jadid of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana.
