In his welcome address, Sadr Sahib explained that the workshop’s purpose as depicted by the theme “Empowering Office Bearers to Create Change in the Majlis” is to empower the members to effect changes at all levels of the Majlis spiritually and physically. He said the workshop is thus intended to equip the Aamla members who are the leaders with the needed skills to better serve and achieve their mandate of effecting positive change within the Majlis. Alhaj Katu said leaders need to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to positively impact their members at the various levels.  The Sadr Sahib further stressed that the workshop would see members discuss draft work plans for the various departments for finalization and subsequent implementation at the various levels of the Majlis.   He said members of the Aamla are expected to report on the approved work plans monthly and must be submitted promptly and timely.

He called on all to participate fully as the programme focuses on spiritual progression, essential to effect the necessary changes in the Majlis.

The Naib Ameer 3, Alhaj Justice Saeed Kweku Gyan, representing the Ameer and Missionary In-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, who chaired the Opening Session congratulated the Sadr for drawing up a programme aimed at impacting a positive change in the Majlis. Justice Gyan said no matter how high your performance is, there is the need to strive for a greater change that is natural, necessary and appropriate. He stressed that relevant knowledge and sound wisdom are needed to achieve the required improvement based on relevant change as organizations can move forward only based on relevant knowledge and direction. The Naib Ameer 3 said that the purpose of change is to ensure that we all become better in all that we do which cannot be done without certain knowledge, proper guidance and direction. He called on all to be serious and fully participate as the relevance of the chosen topics cannot be taken for granted. He said members need to involve themselves to ensure that the knowledge they gain at the workshop is impacted to those at the regional and zonal levels.  Justice Gyan emphasized the need for members of the Majlis Ansarullah to build their spirituality even as they build their physical excellence as their role as head of the family requires that they set good examples for others to emulate.
