The Takoradi Majlis Ansarullah organized its 4th Annual Zonal Rally on 1st September 2024 at Takoradi Zonal Central Mosque on the theme “A Discipline Nasir, A Model for The Youth”.
The rally, attended by over 70 Majlis members from the Takoradi and Nzema circuits saw the participants embarking on a 5-kilometer Route March within Effia-Tanokrom.
In his opening address, Maulvi Shamsudeen Boateng, the Takoradi Zonal Missionary, emphasized the fundamental duties and responsibilities of a Nasir as outlined in the Majlis constitution. He encouraged members to adhere to these guidelines, as doing so would help them fulfill their aspirations as members of the Majlis.
Alhaj Elias Yussuf Kofi Gyampson, Western Regional Peace Council Member and Zonal Rishta Nata Coordinator spoke on the topic, “Peaceful Coexistence Among Multicultural Society – The Model of the Holy Prophet Muhammed(saw)” linking the attainment of peace in our community to emulating the Prophet Muhammad’s (saw) peaceful nature. He encouraged Majlis members to embody and promote peace through small actions and teachings. He concluded by urging everyone to be a model of peace, particularly with the upcoming 2024 elections in mind.
Mr. Muhammed Ansoh, Rukne Khususi, speaking on the theme of the Ijtemaa, paraphrased several verses from the Holy Quran to urge the Majlis to be mindful of all aspects of their conduct, as members of the Majlis, who are leaders within their families and the wider Jamaat. He emphasized that a promising future depends on their discipline, which should set a positive example for the youth and the community. He encouraged the Majlis to uphold good morals for the benefit of the future and the well-being of generations to come.
Maulvi Hafeez Hafif Ibrahim, the National Coordinator for Tahrike and Waqfe Jadid, urged the Majlis to be honest regarding the Tahrike and Waqfe Jadid Schemes. He emphasized the importance of fulfilling the financial obligations of the schemes and encouraging family members to participate, as is expected of all Jamaat members. He also provided a brief overview of the schemes and the origins of their development to the participants.
The Zonal Ijtemaa was graced by distinguished personalities including parliamentary candidates from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko, and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Honorable Abdul Majeed Dukorgu. Also present were Honorable Kuntu Blankson, the Assembly Member for the Effia-Tanokrom Electoral Area, and Alhaj Issah Harun, the Effiakuma District Chief Imam. Each guest took the opportunity to share their supportive messages focused on the upcoming 2024 general elections set for December.
