On July 28, 2024, the Majlis Ansarullah in Mankessim Zone held its first zonal rally at Mankessim Central Mosque in the Central Region of Ghana. The zone comprises five circuits. These are Mankessim, Baifikrom, Kyeakor, Nsanfo, and Saltpond circuits. The rally began at dawn of that Sunday with a Tahajuud prayer. After the Tahajjud, Alhaji Mohammed Odoom (the Zonal President) gave dars on the topic: “Managing yourself and your home as an Ansarullah”. In his speech, he explained the need to maintain ourselves and live a healthy life as a Nasir since that is the only way one can serve the Creator very well. He also encouraged members to maintain their homes well since that is the surest way to develop spiritually.
After Fajr prayers, Maulvi Muhammad Al-Hassan, Mankessim Zonal Missionary, in his Dars emphasized the need for members of Majlis Ansarullah to abide by the words in the Ansarullah pledge. He also encouraged every Nasir to try their best to nurture their children in the best way to please Almighty Allah.
The program continued with religious and sporting competitions among the five circuits with Kyeakor Circuit adjudged the best Circuit at the end of the competitions.
As the Zonal rally fell on the blessed day the International Ba’iat for 2024 was performed, members of the Majlis present at the rally took part in the Ba’iat before the final session for the rally took place.
The final session was chaired by the Central Regional Nazim, Mr. Mubarak Yacub, who represented the Sadr, Majlis Ansarullah, Ghana. Alhaji Muhammad Afful, Naib Nazim of Mankessim Zone recited the Holy Qur’an for the session to begin and was followed by an opening prayer by Maulvi Al-Hassan Muhammad, Mankessim Zonal Missionary.
Dr. Edu Muhammed gave a speech on keeping a healthy life and the need for every Nasir to join the Al-Wassiyat scheme after Mr. Sadique Otchere, Mankessim Zonal Nazim had given his welcome address.
Maulvi Abdul Hameed Ismail Baafi, Saltpond Zonal Missionary, spoke on the theme for the rally: “Peaceful coexistence toward nation-building; an essential tool for Spiritual development.” He stressed the point that there cannot be spiritual development at home, within communities and the nation as a whole when there is no peace among the citizenries.
He also encouraged members to live peacefully with one another before, during, and after the elections. Maulvi Baafi reminded members of the Majlis Ansarullah that the only way we can be successful as heads of our families is to be promoters of peace which will bring much love and development in our homes.
In his concluding address, the chairman for the final session, Mr. Mubarak Yacub admonished all members to take the activities of the Majlis seriously. He also urged all to see Huzur’s directives as a guide to spiritual upliftment and development in their lives. He then thanked all members who made it to the rally and prayed for those who couldn’t make it for one to two reasons.
The Mankessim Zonal Aamila also honoured a Nasir from each of the five Circuits who have served the Jama’at for years in various capacities.
A citation was presented to them to show appreciation for the sacrifices they have made for the service of Islam Ahmadiyya.
